Chicken Biryani


  Chicken Biryani




Ingredients:

Rice  1 1/2 kg
Chicken 1 1/2 kg
Onion 6
Ginger garlic paste 4tbsp
Yogurt 1/2 kg
Tomatoes 1/2 kg
Salt As desired
Red chilli powder 5-6 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Lemon 2
Yellow food colour 1/4 tsp
Bay leaves 3-4

For garnishing:
For garnishing add Fresh corriander,Green chillies and mint. 

Method:

  • Heat oil.Add cutted onions and fry till it gets brown.Separate these brown onions from oil and place them in a plate.
  • Fry ginger garlic paste in the same oil and add chicken into it for frying.
  • Blend fried onions with yogurt and tomatoes and add this mixture to the chicken.
  • Add red chilli powder,turmeric powder and plums to the chicken.
  • Cook chicken for 15-20 minutes till the oil gets separate.
  • Boil rice separately.
  • Take a separate pan,make one layer of rice then cutted corriander,mint and tomatoes for garnishing,then chicken mixture and so on.
  • Cook it on lowest flame for 5-10 minutes with cover.
  • Delicious biryani is ready to serve with kachommar salad and raita.
